HOOHA VOLUNTEER TEAM
We established "Learning Together" with the following goals:
Connecting with each other through learning – Through services such as academic tutoring, language support, and adaptation assistance, we help students in need overcome learning difficulties and regain confidence and enjoyment in learning.
We offer warmth through companionship —we believe that "walking alongside" is more important than "teaching." We not only provide knowledge, but also act as companions and listeners on students' journey of growth.
Youth giving back to society – We encourage young people to step out of the classroom, put what they have learned into action, and learn to care, take responsibility and be accountable in the process of serving others.
Building a community through inclusion – We are committed to helping new students integrate into Hong Kong, promoting mutual understanding and acceptance, and working together to build a more inclusive and loving learning community.
🌕【Learning Together Volunteer Team • Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival Early with 300 Seniors】🥮❤️
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for family reunions, but for many elderly people living alone or in care homes, what they crave most is companionship and care.
Recently, the "Learning Together Volunteer Team," along with many energetic young volunteers, gathered early with 300 senior citizens to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in a heartwarming way! 🎉
On the day of the event, the volunteers transformed into "Youthful Singing Kings and Queens," performing a series of familiar classic songs for the elderly ("The Moon Represents My Heart," "Shanghai Beach," and "Love Across Mountains and Rivers"). The seniors in the audience clapped along and sang along, creating a joyful and touching atmosphere! 🎶
In addition to singing and dancing, the volunteer team also personally delivered a heartfelt **"Mid-Autumn Love Blessing Bag"** to each elderly person, which contained festive low-sugar mooncakes, healthy dry food and daily care products, hand-delivering warmth and holiday blessings to every father-in-law and mother-in-law. Seeing the bright smile on the elder's face, all the efforts are worth it! 👵🧓✨
